Today we took a day trip to visit the River Arts District in Asheville. The whole area was filled with cool studios & street art- it was the cutest!
First, while driving to the art studios we wandered across a giant lot that was unending graffiti. It just kept going & as we walked around there was even a skate park in the back!
I honestly can't even describe how much graffiti there was. It was so cool- they had a few rules but pretty much anyone could spray paint there. There were even a few people spray-painting!
Then we headed into the district to look at the studios! We drove past these and they were so cute😍
We went through lots of studios that were open. One of my favorite studios was this artist(Kristin Foley). Her workspace was beautiful!
My other favorite studio was Jonas Gerard. His studio was huge. He had so many paintings in a gallery & his studio open although he wasn't there.
His paintings were gorgeous!!
His whole studio was just awesome.
He had some awesome inspiration & words of wisdom hung up.
So that was our day trip to Asheville in pictures! I loved this area and we really didn't even get to explore tons of studios or the whole area. I would definitely recommend it :)
Here's a past street art post from St. Petersburg, I guess my new habit when traveling is to find graffiti & street art!
